Hi Dean, thanks for reading! I answer your question and others in my FAQ post, but essentially, Remote Year is a company that organizes year-long trips for groups of 75 people, with each month spent in a different city (and usually a different country).

The participants (like me) have their own remote jobs.

Participants pay RY a fee (currently totals $27,000 USD per year) and they organize our monthly accommodation, workspace, and travel between each city, as well as some activities and events.

There are 2 RY staff managers assigned to each program for the year, and then RY also consists of many other employees running the other overhead and setup of new cities, etc.
