Resist The FCC Repeal
A friend posted about the new FCC plan to repeal regulations on Facebook:
This will negatively impact every single individual American, excepting only a handful of executives at a handful of Internet Service Providers.
This will interrupt your Netflix, your music streaming, your online shopping, your gaming, your email, your personal blog, your business website, your preferred search engine.
Literally everything you do on the internet is at risk of being cut off from you, or hidden behind a paywall, with no recourse available to you.
So I took 5 MINUTES — that it! and contacted my representatives in Congress via Resistbot messenger on Facebook.
You should too — why? Because you probably love the internet.

Once again, we find our representatives considering more proposals to prioritize businesses over people.
America is not a country for corporations — yet.
The internet is an incredibly important tool and asset for all Americans, and keeping it as freely available as possible to everyone is critical for our success as individuals and a country.
As the New York Times just reported:
The Federal Communications Commission released a plan on Tuesday to dismantle landmark regulations that ensure equal access to the internet, clearing the way for internet service companies to charge users more to see certain content and to curb access to some websites.
The proposal, made by the F.C.C. chairman, Ajit Pai, is a sweeping repeal of rules put in place by the Obama administration. The rules prohibit high-speed internet service providers, or I.S.P.s, from stopping or slowing down the delivery of websites. They also prevent the companies from charging customers extra fees for high-quality streaming and other services.
Please stand up for your constituents and all Americans and oppose this repeal.
